AlphaCorr Steel Rules HPGL Direct

Falls vor einem (z.B Zünd Plotter) ein front-end Computer / Controller vorhanden ist, dann kann AlphaCorr eine HPGL Datei über das Netzwerk mit dem Befehl >Datei >Output Direct versenden. Zuerst muss aber der Dateipfad definiert werden, wo sich der Plotter im Netzwerk befindet. Dies kann unter >Utilities >Steel Rules Directories >Sample Maker definiert werden.

Falls der Serial Plotter nur eine RS-232 Schnittstelle aufweist, dann wird das Zusatzprogramm WinLine benötigt.

File- HPGL Direct

HPGL Direct sendet eine standard HPGL Datei (.hpg) an den voreingestellten Dateipfad (welcher in den SteelRules Preferences voreingestellt ist).
Diese Funktion versendet den sichtbaren Inhalt der aktuellen Zeichnung an das definierte Verzeichnis (ausser es sind bestimmte Objekte ausgewählt). Falls Sie nur bestimmte Objekte der sichtbaren Geometrie senden möchten müssen Sie diese zuvor auswählen.

Diese Funktion ist nicht dasselbe wie der Befehl >Datei >Drucken >HPGL, weil Sie keinen Namen für die HPGL Datei angeben müssen. Mit der HPGL Direct Funktion können Sie sehr schnell nacheinander bestimmte Teile Ihrer Zeichnung an den Plotter senden. Diese spezielle Output Funktion.

When using any of the HPGL output methods, the output directory is scanned for existing files with the same name as you are about to send. If Rules finds an existing file with the same name, it will ask you if you want to overwrite the file. Choosing “Overwrite” will replace the existing file with the new output and delete any existing “.DTI” files associated with DataTech sample makers. All HPGL output files can optionally have their names truncated for DOS Front End controllers. See “Using HPGL” for more details.

The naming convention for the output has some important points:

If a Job Number exists in the Data Tracker, the name of the output file will be the Job Number with the first letter of the output sheet name tacked onto the end. For example, you have finished designing you die and have run thethree Print->Output functions as described above you have 3 new sheets called “FileName:Die Output, FileName: Jig Output, and FileName:Male Output. Also assume you have entered a Job Number of 1234 in the Data Manger. If you choose the HPGL output command when the Die output sheet is active, the name of the file sent to the Laser directory would be “1234D.hpg”. Activate the other 2 sheets and send the HPGL Output command on each one and the names of the other 2 output sheets will be, “1234J.hpg”, and “1234M.hpg”. If you had not supplied the system with a Job Number or don’t plan to use a Job Number in the Data Manager, your file names will default to be the name of the file you are working on and the above letters: “FileNameD.hpg”, “FileNameJ.hpg”, and “FileNameM.hpg”.

HPGL output file names that are automatically generated can be truncated to a maximum of 7 characters plus the sheet designator letter tacked to the end and the 3 letter suffix .hpg by setting the value off the Prefs.fe variable, “rsTruncateHpglNameForDataTech” to true. This accommodates the DOS front end found on some older DataTechnology or other DOS front ended lasers.
